FileMaker Project Manager (ref FPMNL)

Mission

Reporting to the General Manager, whilst working as an active team member with other Project Managers, the FileMaker Project Manager is the lead person on any given FileMaker project.
You will be expected to:
1. develop a commercial, trust-based, attitude towards prospects and potential clients;
2. understand, and help to define client & prospect needs;
3. efficiently translate these business needs into functional requirements;
4. manage the development process, from analysis, architecture documentation, to production;
5. train and assist clients in a commercially pro-active and positively supportive way, both during initial stages and during the expected life of the project;
6. understand & leverage opportunities that may arise from these requests;
7. constantly improve and define new development standards;
8. contribute to BH&A's success by being an active commercial representative when with clients... and an active client representative, internally;
9. help BH&A and FileMaker's marketing teams further develop their knowledge of their respective markets by constantly being on the lookout for new target market developments.

Profile

This will require the ideal bilingual (Flemish & English) project manager to

1. have a thorough understanding of FileMaker (or similar RAD Database Platform), and a desire to build and develop this knowledge;
2. to develop an in-depth knowledge of customers' working environments and business requirements;
3. have the ability and desire to learn;
4. be flexible & open to novelty;
5. prioritize deadlines - and manage late minute urgencies - since he/she will be working for different clients simultaneously
6. demonstrate the right 'sme' attitude: wanting to help when needed, enthusiastic, yet perfectionist.

Database developer without or with experience.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small IT firm.
The job requires the design and development of new relational database solutions and maintenance of existing solutions.
Must be able to work independently, make decisions on own initiative and work
to tight deadlines. You must have a good understanding of relational databases and proven ability in the development of database solutions (preferably in FileMaker but other database RAD would suffice).

Required

B.Sc., M.Sc. Degree or equivalent work experience
Strong Relational Database Skills
Desirable: HTML,SQL, XML/XSL, Lasso, PHP, Basic Systems Administration
skill.
